About Us
Bill and Mary met in 1985 while working on the Pediatric unit of a local hospital. Needless to say, their mutual concern and love for the health and well-being of all children, was an immediate bond.
They married in 1987. In October 1988 they welcomed their first child, William Christian IV. In April 1990, Bill and Mary were blessed with their daughter, Alyssa Marie. In June 1991, Steven John completed their beautiful family. As their family grew, they moved from an apartment in Hicksville, then to a house in Bellmore, and finally settled in Commack New York.
Their family has been growing as the years have gone by. They welcomed William Christian V and Reagan Mary on September 13, 2018, the children of William and Karen. Alyssa and Anthony brought Aurora Therese into the world on January 4, 2022. And on December 12 2024 they were blessed with AJ, a.k.a. Anthony Junior. Bill and Mary are lucky to live close to their children and grandchildren which enables them to be a part of their everyday lives.
Combined, Bill and Mary have been taken care of children for over 75 years. They have been very fortunate to meet and take care of not only the first, but the second generations of families. The bonds that have been created are priceless.
Mary had a dream of writing a book. The basics were all created and written down and then time got in the way and it was put on the back burner. After 10 years, as a surprise birthday gift, Bill made her dream a reality and had “Help Me Find My Hoot, Hannah” published. This was the catalyst that started the “Hannah and Twinkle” series idea. Inspired by their grandchildren, Bill and Mary decided to use their years of experience as a basis for learning a fun way to help children process the challenges of life. “Help Keep Me From Harm, Hannah” deals with safety issues. “Twinkle Finds Dolan’s Pride” helps navigate bullying. Bill and Mary firmly believe that instituting love, kindness, morals, and self-worth at an early age is a perfect start to a happy and healthy life.
